Finally got a good shot of Latourelle Falls -- it's a really tricky waterfall to shoot due to it being in a bit of an alcove (of its own making). Thus, it never seems to get good light. Shot in
February 2011 with plenty of fun ice formation from the falling spray... a really awesome place to be in person if you're in the Columbia Gorge in winter!

I love the lighting in this shot, and I especially love the ice crystals that have formed. It's quite magical.

I've been here! So cool, I never knew it frosted over near the top. The hexagonal basalt formations near the bottom are certainly a sight to see. :D

ive always liked latourelle far better than multnomah. i took some amazing ice formation pictures here last year. this waterfall is amazing during the coldest parts of winter
