It's a constant struggle to retain the benefits of being both a night owl and a morning person... but on mornings like this one shrugging off the effects of a late night is well worth the effort. This is the latest in a long line of attempts to get the view from the West Hills in Portland to work out. The view is fantastic, but given Portland's less than iconic skyline the weather and lighting have more than their fair share of work to do in order to make a panoramic from here work out. I think they finally came together here for this shot -- definitely a view that I had to stop and fully appreciate on its own before I jammed a camera in my face to capture it.
