I know everyone does this, but in subjecting my cats to photography I accidentally captured one that I just had to share. This Napoleon, the more willing of my two cats to be photographed (his brother, Onyx, is a bit of a shy one).

Playing around with subtle color tweaks to get the nostalgic effect going on... Please do tell me what you think!

Wow! Looks just like my cat! Probably younger though. Nice one! I read in a book that these cats are a cross between a Canadian Lynx and an American Bobcat. I don't know about Napoleon but Tigger is big for a domestic cat.
Check it out TIGGER.

Napoleon. That is an inspired name for a cat.

This cute fella looks very much like my cat, Webster. (He was like a four legged-brother to me. R.I.P at 22 years old!) Great picture, the lighting catches him wonderfully. I love the whiskers coming directly at the viewer, the light has turned them interesting colours. What is he looking at? It looks like he's caught sight of an unsuspecting bird or something....

Again, fantastic picture. Kudos.

It does have a nice mood and depth for it...can't say that about many cat photo's (but of all the painfully common subjects on the internet, cats I don't mind since they're so cute or funny :XD:)

Nice! Good pose from the cat and the colors work I think with the bright natural light from the nearby window. But I must say I hope not all your photos will take on these colors. I'm just a big believer in natural colors in their natural world. And your black and whites are superb.

Oh definitely... this effect is wasted on landscapes, it really works only when you want to pump up a sense of nostalgia and richness in the image. What I meant is that if I did this (for those reasons) that I got a bit structured about it so I didn't have a gallery of skittles. Yes, if the color is artificial, it has to have a good reason for being so.
