Hood River Autumn 2016 by sirgerg

Description
Capturing the Hood River Valley at sunrise in the autumn is starting to feel like an annual pilgrimage — and one I never regret making. The light and atmosphere never disappoint, and Mt. Hood looming in the background with its fresest coating of snow is always impressive. This particular morning must have been colder than I realized, as the valley filled with haze and woodsmoke immediately after I captured this panorama. I'm guessing the autumn chill inspired lots of folks to fire up the woodburning stoves for tea, coffee and cocoa. I have to admit I was a bit jealous, but luckily I had only a short time to wait until the local breweries opened so I could get my own cup of cheer.
